Blepharoplastie
A blepharoplasty proposes to reduce the signs of aging present in the eyelids and to replace the “tired” aspect of the look with a more rested and relaxed appearance. In particular, it opens the eyes by subtly correcting excess skin on the upper eyelids.
The upper blepharoplasty is indicated when the upper eyelids are heavy and drooping with an excess of skin forming a more or less marked fold.
The intervention, under local anesthesia, consists of an incision hidden in the groove located halfway up the eyelid, between the movable part and the fixed part of the eyelid.
The lower blepharoplasty is indicated for withered and drooping lower eyelids with small horizontal wrinkles consecutive to skin distension.
The intervention, under local anesthesia, consists of an incision placed 1 to 2 mm below the eyelashes, which can extend a little outside.
The aftermath is mainly marked by the appearance of edema (swelling), bruising (bruising) and tear drops, the extent and duration of which vary widely from one individual to another.
The actual result will be observed within 3 to 6 months. This delay is necessary so that the tissues have regained all their flexibility and the scars have faded at best.
The facelift aims to treat sagging and sagging of the little and muscles of the face (temples, eyebrows, jowls, oval of the face) and neck but also the insufficiency or excess of fatty tissue.
The objective of such an intervention is not to change the shape or appearance of the face. On the contrary, simply restoring the different anatomical structures of the face and neck (skin, muscle, fat) allows the patient to regain the aspect that was his a few years ago.
The cervico-facial lift can be done as soon as the signs of aging appear and a motivated request for correction is made, generally from 40 or 45 years old.
The intervention can be associated with either liposuction of the neck, cosmetic surgery of the eyelids (blepharoplasty). It is performed under general or local anesthesia with sedation.
The follow-up operations are variable, edema (swelling), bruises (bruises), feeling of tension especially behind the ears and around the neck. These bruises and these edemas disappear on average in the 2 weeks post-operative.
After one to three months, you can get a good idea of the final result, but the scars are still a little pink and hard and do not fade until around the sixth month.
This physical improvement is generally accompanied by psychological well-being.
The intervention aims to definitively correct these anomalies by reshaping the cartilage, so as to obtain normal ears, symmetrical, of size and natural appearance. It thus makes it possible to put an end to the mockery and other derogatory remarks likely to be at the origin of psychological difficulties or school conflicts.
Anyone with these protruding ear problems can have an operation. In adults, the procedure can be done at any age. But in children otoplasty can be performed from the age of 7, as soon as the child states the desire.
The intervention takes place under local anesthesia, or local anesthesia deepened by tranquilizers, or general anesthesia, on an outpatient basis, that is to say in day hospitalization, with an authorized discharge after a few hours of monitoring.
Absorbable threads are used and the dressings are made using modeling compresses held by elastic bands around the head to keep the ears in good position.
The term rhinoplasty designates the modification of the morphology of the nose, for the purpose of aesthetic and sometimes functional improvement (correction of possible nasal breathing problems).
The goal of rhinoplasty is to obtain a natural-looking nose, harmonizing in its relationships with other facial features, suiting the patient’s psychology and personality, and responding to the patient’s requests.
